"The Grass is Always Meaner" is the 9th episode of Kid vs. Kat and the 9th episode of Season 1. It aired on April 11, 2009 after Dial "B" For Babysitter.
Plot Summary
Kat starts the episode by doing an experiment in Coop's treehouse. When Coop discovers this, he tries to stop him by pulling the plug in the kitchen, which ends up causing a blackout for the entire town. Mrs. Munson runs outside from the blackout and ends up tripping, injuring her ankle. Coop comes up with a plan to make his Dad buy him a Captain Blasteroid Helmet by cutting Old Lady Munson's lawn and making her win the lawn contest. Kat tries to stop Coop and Dennis by making the grass grow incredibly tall with a special spray, and uses his collar to make himself invisible. This culminates in Kat and Coop spraying paint at each other, covering the garden in paint. When the lawn contest judge sees it, he says, " This is the most beautiful yard I've seen all day! " and awards Mrs. Munson first prize in the contest. Burt gives Coop a Captain Blasteroid helmet as a reward.
Trivia
- A lot of focus is put into Coop trying to get a Captain Blasteroid helmet to replace his " lame old walky-talky, " but in episodes afterwards, while Coop and Dennis still wear the helmets, we never see them use it for long-distance communication, and they continue using the walky-talky.
