"Pet Peeved" is the 13th episode of Kid vs. Kat and the 13th episode of Season 1. It aired on May 9, 2009 after Curse of Tutankitty's Tomb.
Plot Summary
When Millie finds a new school friend named Molly who acts exactly like her, she starts to ignore Kat. Fed up with being ignored, Kat gets driven into running away, giving Millie a drawing telling her about it, but Kat discovers the "real world" is a much harder place to be in than he thought. When Millie finally goes looking for Kat, Coop does everything he can to sabotage her efforts. Kat gets adopted by a crazy cat lady and bullies the other cats, but this backfires when the cats eventually stand up to him and chase him out of the house for good. When Kat collapses from exhaustion in front of Millie's house, Coop feels extremely sorry for Kat, and tells Millie that he's come home out of pity. Kat happily reunites with her, loving purring as she picks him up. Molly immediately hates Kat, revealing herself to be not as similar to Millie as she thought, and Millie furiously tells Molly to never speak to her again.
Trivia
- This episode is important in that it shows how Coop cares about Kat more than he used to, since he felt sorry for him in the end, and it's also important because it shows the difference between Molly and Millie; Millie, unlike most little girls, is very accepting of strange things and can love Kat even though he's different.
- Kat tries to bond with a new owner, but after being given a bath by her, he becomes furious with her and runs away, even though he never ran away from Millie when she gave him a bath. This, along with him running back to her in the end, proves that Kat loves Millie as part of his family.
- Molly is Millie's twin sister.
