"I'm Okay, You're a Kat" is the 8th episode of Kid vs. Kat and the 8th episode of Season 1. It aired on April 4, 2009 after How the Test Was Won.
Plot Summary
Burt was carrying a box of old newspaper and calls Coop down to help him when Millie wants him to cut the crusts off her toast so he gets Coop to take the box to the curb which is bad news for his back. As Coop carries the box of old news outside, Kat watches and trips him over using a stick causing him and the box just then it reveals Fishy Frisky Bits. Kat tries to gather his cat food until Coop whistles the birds over and they eat them all up leaving bird poo on Kat, he gives him one leftover until a bird receives it. As a payback for giving all the Fishy Frisky Bits to the birds Kat shredded Coop's History Report which got him an 'F'. Burt after hearing this gives Coop a self-help motivational tape in the House of Swap and he uses it to make himself far more cheerful by playing it while he's sleeping and it turns his life around. Kat gets annoyed by how Coop's optimism makes it much harder to annoy him. Kat slices up the tape and modifies it to remove Coop’s optimism, and replace it with such pessimism that Coop becomes scared of his own shadow and literally cries over spilled milk (making Millie call him a crybaby). Afterwards, Kat uses another self-help tape on Burt to make him into his new servant. When Coop finds out, he decides to help his father and use a self-help tape to become a tough guy, which turns him into a typical bully with a leather jacket. It culminates in him trapping Dennis, Burt, Millie and Kat in a cage above a pool of electric eels, trying to kill them for various reasons; Dennis because he's a " goody-two-shoes " compared to him, Burt because he never believed him about Kat (which strained their relationship) and always treated Millie better, and Millie and Kat for far more obvious reasons. Dennis snaps Coop out of it by saying he's still good and the tape kept talking constantly which made him tearing apart and Coop throws his jacket into the ropes above the cage while it's falling, saving everyone. The sudden fall makes Burt bump his head on the bars of the cage, snapping him out of Kat's hypnosis. In the end, everything goes back to normal and Coop tells his Dad the self-help tape made him bad but not Kat for a start and that made his positively proud. Coop pushes the cage and Kat falls into the pool getting himself electrocuted and bitten by electric eels. Coop happily walks off feeling more positive and Kat angrily follows while being zapped.
